Tableland Freestyle Taekwon-do is currently undergoing a transistion period whereby founder, 4th Dan Annette Schep is retiring as Head Instructor after 40 year's of teaching  to pass on to 2nd Dan Instructor, Ben Azzopardi.  Ben had been a student with the school since the age of 8yrs whereby over the past 13 year's has developed his skills and matured into a fine young Instructor who is passionate about passing on his knowedge to other students.  Ben has alot to offer,  along with his father John & Ryan Taifalos both 2nd Dan Assistant Instructor's who will be assisting Ben.  Becoming a 2nd Dan Black Belt takes a minimum of 9 to10 year's to achieve.  Annette is looking forward to staying on as another Assistant Instructor to Ben along with being Grading Examiner for the school.

At Tableland Freestyle Taekwon-do, we love introducing children from the age of 9 and adults alike to the wonderful world of taekwon-do, We believe that taekwon-do has a huge range of health and lifestyle benefits. Regular twice-weekly training sessions can help improve strength, flexibility and overall fitness. Taekwon-do can also help improve your mental sharpness and reaction times. You’ll also receive self-defence knowledge and training, an important asset to for everyone. We believe that taekwon-do has the power to improve self esteem and confidence. At Tableland Freestyle Taekwon-do, we provide 2 class times each Tuesday and Thursday 4pm and 5.30pm at Merriland Hall, Atherton Showgrounds for all ages from 9 years. Having  fun and getting fit while learning this great martial art,  climbing up the ranks to Black Belt which normally takes approx 4 - 5 years of regular training.  Beginner's are welcome at any class - first 2 lessons are free.

Experienced Instructors

Tableland Freestyle Taekwon-do owner Annette Schep is a taekwon-do expert. Her passion for this fascinating martial art spans several decades, and she has been a qualified instructor since 1985. Over the years, Annette has honed her own expert skills and has earned a reputation as one of the very best taekwon-do instructors in Atherton. Her husband, Frans Schep, has been assisting her for 25 years. Annette and Frans are supported by five additional instructors who take classes and provide personalised advice. At Tableland Freestyle Taekwon-do, all of our instructors have at least 7 years experience with taekwon-do, and hold 1st Dan Black Belts or above.
